Rob joined Equity in 1980 and has been Equity's president and general manager since 1986. He has been in the electrical distribution business since 1978, including a two-year tenure with General Electric. Rob is a Georgia Tech graduate with a BS degree in Industrial Management. His managerial philosophy encourages initiative, excellence and personal responsibility and recognizes the individual contributions of employees in the pursuit of value and customer satisfaction. Rob is a Georgia native and the son of Equity's founder, Bob Parris. He is married to the former Carol Martin and has two children, Glen and Kyle.
